The search service at the Veterinary Medical Library
provides literature searches on veterinary health-related topics for current U of M
faculty, staff, and students.
Local Indexes
For indexes available through University Library subscriptions,
there will be no charge for this service. These indexes are listed on
the Libraries' Indexes webpage: http://www.lib.umn.edu/articles/indexes.phtml
Health-related searches of up to 100 references are available to
current students, staff, and faculty of the University of Minnesota
-Twin Cities campus (if more than 100 references are requested, there
will be a charge of $5.00 for each additional 50 references). Email
delivery of results is preferred. However, if necessary, search results
will be printed and may be picked up in the Library or sent through
campus mail. Results may also be sent via U.S. mail for $3.00, and
searches containing 50 references or less may be faxed for $2.00.
Indexes Available from Outside Vendors
Librarians will conduct health-related searches in a variety of
indexes, such as EMBASE, that are available only from outside vendors.
Each of these indexes has a different pricing structure. Patrons
requesting searches in these indexes will be charged the incurred costs.
