Fines Policy

Materials checked out from the Veterinary Medical Library are due by the date indicated on the date due slip that is given when an item is checked out. Items that are not returned or renewed on or before the date due will be assessed a fine at the rates listed below.

Fine Rates

   •  Books, Theses and Documents -- $.50 per item per day, 
   •  Periodicals -- $3.00 per item per day, 
   •  Recall for Patron -- $1.00 per item per day, 
   •  Recall for Reserve -- $5.00 per item per day, 
   •  Audiovisuals -- $3.00 per item per day, 
   •  3-Day Reserve -- $5.00 per item per day, 
   •  2-Hour/Overnight Reserve -- $1.50 per item per hour. 
Borrowing privileges may be blocked for overdue books or unpaid fines.
Materials that are not returned or renewed within four weeks of the due date will be declared lost. You wil be assessed the appropriate fine, the cost of the material, plus a non-refundable processing fee.
